The world record for time without sleep is 264 hours.


Randy Gardner was only seventeen years old when he broke the world record for sleepless hours. The record attempt was part of a sleep deprivation study conducted by Dr. William C. Dement. The 264 hour record hasn't been broken since it was set in 1964.
