Other early birth control methods: tampons made of honey, drinking liquid mercury, jumping backwards, sneezing (to expel semen), inserting lemons as a diaphragm (the citric acid acts as spermicide), using animal intestines as condoms, inserting a concave piece of wood as a diaphragm (ouch), and drinking a concoction of soaking dried beaver testicles in a strong solution of alcohol.
